The Room of the Future – A Human interface to computer
I will have 3 cameras to form a 3D image. Kinetic sensors for any body movements. A GPS system for location. Voice recognition commands. Face recognition systems including sensors for heartbeat and body heat. And I can link it to any software I want. Even a Lie detector. A human talking and interacting with a computer. I can even use it as a control room of a spacecraft, or even a security zone to control the crowd, or a hospital room for patients, by linking to sensor devices to find out your blood pressure, or a special camera that detects your body functions that can be utilized for videomedicine.
Why Healthcare costs may not necessary go up
It is now possible, to embed sensors to computers, for videomedicine for treatment of non-emergency cases, and mass produced these computers for healthcare, so you only visit the hospital/clinics where lab samples are required, or for emergency cases, where doctors can leverage IT systems to take care of the masses, at reduced costs and even monitor large numbers of old-age patients at retirement homes. I can easily create devices that measure the weight, height and BMI, blood pressure and heartbeat, to link by USB to a computer to update the database, even transfer to a central knowledge centre of the hospital for record keeping.
Welcome to the 22nd century.
